Chuck E. Cheese

Monday April 20th is our annual Chuck E. Cheese Night.  Come on out for some pizza, fun and games on Monday night.  Chuck. E. Cheese donates a portion of the proceeds back to Fairview.  It’s a great night for kids and parents to get together while their children have a great time.  Come on out and see Chuck!

Spring Clean Up

Executive Board Nominations

Each spring our PTO takes on the task of reorganizing our group through the nominating process.  PTO Executive board members are elected from the general membership to lead the committees and members for the following school year.  When we return from Spring Break, the nominating time period of two weeks will begin.  We urge every member to strongly consider becoming a member of the Executive Board.  As a member, you are an integral part of shaping the events that happen for the children and staff of Fairview.  With a new principal joining us in September, it is a great time to have a fresh start with a new perspective.  Please take some time to consider stepping up and taking part in the board next year.

Fairview is excited to introduce its inaugural “Invention Convention” as part of the annual Fairview Science Night. Science Night at Fairview will consist of two exciting elements. The first, a Liberty Science Center Science Circus assembly, will be open to all grades of Fairview students and the second, an Invention Convention, will be open to 4th and 5th graders.

Science Circus Assembly Details:

Date:              Wednesday, April 29, 2015

Time:              6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Place:             The Owl’s Nest

Grades:         K-5, up to 175 students can RSVP and attend

Liberty Science Center will be coming to Fairview to present its Science Circus. This assembly will explore the states of matter, air pressure, and electricity as things that we interact with on a daily basis. In this assembly the audience participates in exploring the effects of liquid nitrogen on various states of matter, the power of the air that surrounds us, and the shocking effects of electrical charges. Advance RSVPs will be required, please look for details via the Virtual Backpack, the PTO website and email blasts. This event is brought to our students by the PTO and there is no charge.

NOTE: Due to limited space this will be a drop off event. Chaperones will be there to support the students. There will be a sign-up genius for parents interested in chaperoning.
