Donate Unwanted Halloween Candy This Week
Now what are you going to do with all of those leftover Halloween Treats? You know the ones you don’t like. The ones you got too many of. The ones you didn’t give out. The ones you’ll eat if you don’t get them out of the house.
Why don’t you donate it to Holiday Express? The PTO will collect candy this week. Please send it to school in a zip lock bag and place it in the box in the hallway outside of the main office.
Holiday Express is an all-volunteer group that brings holiday parties to those less fortunate.
Your excess candy would fill a lot of goody bags for guests at a Holiday Express Party.
Turkey Trot
The Turkey Trot will be Monday, November 20th at 1:15pm, with a rain date of November 21st. Parents are welcome to watch the races on the soccer field.
Please send in 2 cans of corn or 2 boxes of stuffing or 1 can of corn and 1 box of stuffing. Collections will end the day of the Turkey Trot and donated to “Middletown Helps Its Own”. The Spirit Committee is looking for 100% participation in order to get a surprise from Mr. Melando!
For more information and to access the registration form…Turkey Trot Information.
Feel free to find your scarecrow and take it home!
Thanks for a Great Halloween Trunk or Treat!
We hope everyone enjoyed Fairview’s Halloween Trunk or Treat. We are lucky it was such a beautiful evening.
The PTO would like to thank John Gentile for bringing his Cheezen Truck and donating a portion of the proceeds back to the PTO. We would also like to thank Dairy Queen in the Chapel Hill Shopping Center, Villa Restaurant in the Kohl’s Shopping Center, and the Rave Cinemas in Hazlet. All of these businesses donated toward the prizes given out during the evening.
A BIG thank you to Nancy Fedor Sattan and Melanie Layton Meuerle for organizing the event. Thank you to Justine Kane for bringing back the spooky Haunted Hallway. (We hope no one was too scared.) Thank you to all the volunteers who helped inside and out, including some Fairview alumni.
And thank you to all of the families who decorated their trunks and who donated treats!!! Your creativity and generosity made it such a festive evening.
