District Presentation: The Ugly Truth about Heroin and Prescription Drugs
Middletown High School North on January 21st at 6:30pm
The Middletown Township Public School District will host a presentation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office on The Ugly Truth about Heroin and Prescription Drugs. The district’s middle school and high school student assistance counselors will also discuss trends in marijuana and alcohol use among teens. There will be question and answer opportunities during the program. This presentation is recommended for all parents in the district as well as students in the middle and high schools. The knowledge gained from this informative program will better prepare you to keep your children safe and drug free.
PTO Meeting Rescheduled
Due to the district meeting described above, the PTO Meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 28th at 7:00pm.
Scrip Gift Card Program Orders Due
Gift card orders are due this Friday, January 22nd. This is a great opportunity to purchase Barnes & Noble gift cards to use at our B&N fundraiser on February 2nd. If you purchase a B&N gift card from Scrip, then the PTO receives 9% of its value. Then, when you make a purchase at our fundraiser using the gift card, the PTO receives a percentage of sales from B&N. It’s a win-win situation!

Barnes & Noble/Cheeburger Cheeburger Night
Join us on Tuesday, February 2nd for two great fundraisers…Barnes & Noble and Cheeburger Cheeburger.
Click the links below to view the flyers. You will need to present the Cheeburger Cheeburger flyer at the register, but you will not need to bring the B&N flyer.
If you can’t make it to B&N on February 2nd, then you can still support the PTO by placing on online order and using the Bookfair ID at checkout.
Incoming Kindergarten Orientation
Do you have a friend or neighbor with a child who will be attending Kindergarten at Fairview in the fall? Please give them this flyer about Incoming Kindergarten Orientation, which begins on February 23rd.
Library Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed for the library, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s a fun opportunity to see your child during the school day and to meet the other students in the class.

- These classes attend on Thursday: Richards, Hesslein, Kameno, Kirchner, Valinotti
