Fairview Library Volunteer Information 2018/2019
Our school library is 100% run by volunteers. Without you, our children would not have a library. Thanks so much for giving your time!!
There will be no library days on early dismissal or delayed opening days.
Arrival time is as soon as possible after drop off or school start time. We use the time before classes arrive to check in and shelve the returned books. Please note that library help is a parent/guardian volunteer position; younger siblings are not permitted.
Please park in designated areas only – beyond the driveway or on Frances Court. You can park in the school parking lot after the cones are removed from the entrance. Or, you can park in the front drop off zone after school start time.
When you arrive, please get buzzed in at the door and report to the main office. Please be sure to have a picture ID (e.g. driver’s license) with you. Mrs. Mercer will direct you how to check in, and you will also check out with her before you leave.
Once checked in, please come up to the library on the second floor – down the hall making a right when you exit the office and up the three sets of stairs — we are the first door on the right.
If you ever can’t make your scheduled time due to a sick child or just life’s little somethings getting in the way, no problem, just please let us know. If it’s the morning of, please email or text one of us. In advance, just remove yourself from the signup genius.
- Each student can borrow one book at a time.
- A new book cannot be borrowed until the checked out book is returned.
- If a library book is lost, please replace the book or reimburse the cost.
If you have any questions, please contact the Library Coordinators at email@example.com.
