Next Wednesday will be our first ever Alex and Ani Night. We know everyone loves these fashionable bracelets and jewelry. Why not come on out to pick up a bracelet or two and support Fairview? With many events coming up this Spring, we are sure there is someone on your list that would love an Alex and Ani bracelet. They make a great gift for Easter, Mother’s Day, birthdays, graduations, etc. We are sure you know someone that would LOVE an Alex and Ani gift. Stop on by the Red Bank store on Wednesday March 11th between 6 and 9 and help to support our school.

The Township of Middletown is proposing the installation of a receiving radio antenna at Fairview Elementary School. An informational meeting on the proposed receiving radio antenna will be held at Fairview Elementary School on March 9, 2015 at 7:00 pm.
Representatives from the Township will be present to discuss the antenna and answer questions. Please click below to view a document with information provided by the Township regarding the proposed receiving radio antenna.
Don’t forget to hand in your Reading Log for February on Monday. If you need a copy of the log here is the link http://www.middletownk12.org/Page/6906. Between Barnes and Noble and the Book Swap, everyone should have lots of new books to read! Your child even got an extra twenty minutes to add to their logs for listening to their teachers read at B&N. Each month the class with the highest collective minutes wins a great class party.
We are excited about our visit with author Chris Grabenstein on March 6th. He will be visiting Fairview to talk about writing and share his newest book Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library. All of the students in grades 3, 4 and 5 already received a copy of the book compliments of the PTO. We hope that the students and teachers will start reading the story so that they can solve the puzzle and ask Chris some questions. Happy Reading!
We have been advised by the District that a Good Neighbor meeting has been scheduled with Middletown Township on March 9th in the evening at Fairview School to discuss the proposed installation of a repeater antenna. An exact time has not been decided and we will send a follow up email when it has been determined.
The Township is supposed to have a packet of information available prior to the meeting with details on the installation. That packet will be posted on the BOE website and we will share the link when it is made available.
Welcome to Wacky Wednesday. We are halfway through our reading celebration week. If you have a chance please stop by and take a look at our “Oh the places you’ll go” wall. Each class has their own hot air balloon with their class picture on it. If you can’t make it into school then please ask your children about it and see if they can tell you which staff members are holding onto the balloons for dear life! Special thanks to Lori Reid, Dawn Adamo and Donna Ferreira for all their crafty artistic mastery in putting this great display together! Please continue to send in your gently used books for the book swap on Friday!
