Pretzel Day Orders – Due April 26th

Pretzel orders are due this Tuesday for Friday delivery. Please use the Pretzel Day envelope to send in your money.

Next PTO Meeting & Teacher of the Year Celebration – April 28th

Please join us to congratulate Mrs. Sabolchick for being chosen Teacher of the Year! The celebration will be at 6:30pm on Thursday, April 28th in the Owl’s Nest. The PTO meeting will follow at 7:00pm. Tomorrow’s Teachers students from Middletown High School North will provide free babysitting during the meeting!

Author Day Book Order Form – Due April 29th

On May 19th, critically acclaimed author/illustrator Dan Yaccarino will be visiting Fairview! To purchase an autographed book, please complete the Author Day Book Order Form and return it to school with payment (cash or check payable to Fairview PTO) in an envelope marked “Author Day Book Orders”. Orders are due by Friday, April 29th.

Spring Plant Sale – Volunteers Needed – May 5th & 6th

Volunteers are needed to set up, sell and clean up for the Spring Plant Sale on May 5th & 6th. Yearbook Orders – Due May 6th

It’s time to order your yearbook! You must reserve your copy, since there will NOT be extra yearbooks available. Please submit the completed Yearbook Order Form and your payment (cash or check payable to Fairview PTO) by Friday, May 6th.

Weekly Update: Fundraisers and Events

Skate Night & Bake Sale – April 22nd

The PTO will be hosting another Skate Night on Friday, April 22nd from 5:45-7:15pm at Middletown Ice World. Please pre-register by completing the Skate Night Registration Form and returning it with payment of $10 per skater (cash or a check payable to Fairview PTO) in an envelope marked “Attn: Skate Night”. Walk-ins are welcome! And bring your friends, too!

 

We will be having a “Earth Day” Bake Sale at the skating rink and are requesting donations of baked goods. Please sign up to bring something with you that night…Skate Night Bake Sale Signup.

Spring Plant Sale – Pre-Orders Due April 22nd

The Spring Plant Sale is Friday, May 6th from 9:30am-4:30pm. This is a great time to get your children into gardening!

 

We encourage you to pre-order your plants, since supplies will be limited on the day of the sale. Please return the completed Spring Plant Sale Order Form and your payment (cash or check payable to Fairview PTO) in an envelope marked “Linda Malanowski – Plant Sale” by Friday, April 22nd. All orders must be picked up on Thursday, May 5th from 5:00-7:00pm in front of the school.

Scrips Gift Cards – Orders Due April 22nd

This month’s gift card orders are due on Friday, April 22nd. Gift cards will be delivered on April 29th. For information on how to place an order, go to the Scrip Gift Card Program page.

Teacher Appreciation Week – Week of May 16th

Because of the PARCC schedule, Mr. Melando has requested that we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week during the week of May 16th. The PTO is planning a breakfast and lunch for the teachers and will purchase small gifts for them. If you would like to help with this event, please reach out to Janice Martiak at j_rudow@yahoo.com.

Help Make Fairview Beautiful!

Fairview Grounds Committee, is joining efforts with the Boy Scouts Troop 140, Cub Scouts Pack 240, the Recycling Club, and the Gardening Club to do some spring cleaning and beautifying of Fairview’s grounds.

 

We are meeting on Sunday, April 17th at 11:00am on the front lawn.

 

We need your helping hands and supplies. If you come, please bring your own gloves, rake, broom, shovel, sheers, and/or spade if you have them.

 

We’ll be weeding, mulching, and cleaning up. Please volunteer and help out!

 

Plant and flower donations are welcome!

Spring Book Fair – April 13th-14th

The spring book fair will be on Wednesday and Thursday, April 13th-14th. It is a buy one, get one free sale. To determine when your child is attending the book fair, view the Spring Book Fair Flyer and Class Schedule.

 

You are welcome to come in and shop with your child. If you cannot attend the fair, you can send in cash or a check (payable to Fairview PTO) with your child, and a volunteer will help them shop.

Alex and Ani Fundraiser – April 13th

Our Alex and Ani fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, April 13th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Red Bank store. View the Alex and Ani Invite for more details. Don’t worry if you didn’t RSVP. We still want you to come and shop!

Yearbook boosters are due Thursday, April 14th. Each booster is $1. Please complete the Yearbook Booster Order Form and return it with cash or a check (payable to Fairview PTO) in an envelope marked “Attn: Yearbook Boosters”.

Mixed Bag Designs Fundraiser – Orders Due April 15th

Before spring break, the Mixed Bag Designs fundraiser packet was sent home with each student. The catalogs offer colorful totes, accessories, kitchenware and gift wrap – there’s something for everyone.

 

Please follow the ordering instructions which are detailed in the packet. You can either make a catalog purchase or an online purchase. Orders are due Friday, April 15th.

  • For catalog purchases, return the completed order form and payment (checks payable to Fairview PTO) to school in an envelope marked “Mixed Bag Designs Fundraiser”. Please keep a copy of your order form.
  • To purchase online, click here. Please make sure our ID# 415178 and seller name are entered at the top right corner. Shipping is free on orders $75 and up.

Fairview Spirit Wear Orders – Due Wednesday, April 6th

We are accepting orders for Fairview Spirit Wear — t-shirts, sweatshirts, pajama pants, etc. Orders are due Wednesday, April 6th. View the Fairview Spirit Wear Order Form for information on available items.

 

Please return the order form and payment (cash or check payable to Fairview PTO) to school in an envelope marked “Spirit Wear”.

Incoming Kindergarten Orientation – Volunteers Needed – April 12th

We are looking for volunteers to help with the Incoming Kindergarten Orientation on Tuesday, April 12th and to donate snacks. Please sign up at Incoming Kindergarten Orientation 2016.

Photos Wanted for Yearbook

The Yearbook committee wants your photos from this school year’s events, e.g. the Turkey Trot, holiday shows, The Lion King, Jr. Please only send photos taken at Fairview School or off-campus school-related events.

Email your photos to Fairviewphotography@gmail.com with the subject line “Yearbook: Event Name”. Photos should be the largest file size (highest resolution) possible. If the photos are too large to include in one email, please send them in multiple emails.
