It will be available on the website for a week.

Busy Day Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a busy day at Fairview. It is Spirit Day so wear your favorite team jersey or your Fairview spirit wear. It is also the last day to bring in cans of Soup for the “Souper Bowl”. Just send in a can of soup to vote for the team you think will win on Sunday. The collected cans will be donated to Lunch Break!

During the day the children will be able to see the school production of Peter Pan Jr. The cast members and crew have been working hard and despite Mother Nature’s interference the show is ready to go on! Tomorrow night and Monday evening are the performances open to all the eager parents, families and friends!

Tickets are still available but going fast! At $8 they are a bargain. The ticket form is available on the Virtual Backpack.

Tickets for the Applebees Breakfast on February 7th are also available. Tickets are $7 and you get a fantastic meal and a chance to see cast members walk the red carpet!

WEATHER ALERT:
All district schools will be open and will follow regular school hours on Wednesday, January 28th.

Play Update

Here is an update from the play committee. This was sent via email to cast members. I personally want to thank the committee and our directors for jumping through hoops to get this done despite Mother Nature’s disruption! Fairview has wonderful volunteers!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Our big blizzard wasn’t as bad as it was supposed to be, but it did disrupt our play enough to cause us to have to postpone Thursday’s performance.

If we have school tomorrow (either a full day or a delayed opening), we will have rehearsals tomorrow and Thursday.  We will have a show on Friday for Friday ticket holders.  The Thursday show will be postponed until Monday.  All Thursday tickets will be good for Monday.

If we do not have school tomorrow, both shows will be postponed until Monday(Thursday ticketholders) and Tuesday (Friday ticketholders).

We were supposed to have 3 more rehearsals before the show, but now will have to make do with only 2 full rehearsals on stage.  I can’t stress enough how important it is that your child come to rehearsals with all of their lines and songs memorized.  Please run through their lines with them today!  J

The co-chairs and directors have been very busy the last few days working with the PTO and school, as well as our sound company, to come up with a contingency plan.  The weather is out of our control and we are at the mercy of the district and whatever they decide to do about school tomorrow.  Thank you for your anticipated patience while we try to figure this out.  I’m sure there will be a lot of questions.  Feel free to e-mail me your questions – sherylf5@verizon.net.   I will try to answer any questions later this afternoon / evening when I have enough information to send out another e-mail.

Thanks,

Sheryl

Calling All Future Kindergarteners!

Do you know a child that will be coming to Fairview next year?  Please tell them all about our Incoming Kindergartener Program.  The dates for the 2015 program are Tuesday February 24th, Tuesday April 28th and Tuesday May 26th.   The program is for incoming kindergarteners and their parents.  The sessions are one hour beginning at 9:30.  There will be a form in the Virtual Backpack soon.  As soon as the office has posted it, we will forward it to all of our families.  If you have a neighbor or friend that you know will be coming to Fairview, please share it with them.

Registration for the incoming kindergarten will take place February 23rd through February 27th.  Families that attend the orientation will receive registration packets.  Please let anyone that you know about these important dates.

We are also looking for some enthusiastic parents to run our orientation program this year.  We need many hands to make this a success!  If you are interested in helping out, please contact Dawn Adamo at loveforfairview@gmail.com.
