Happy Holidays and Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who joined us  last night to welcome and get to know  Mr. Famulary.  We also want to thank everyone who stayed after the meet and greet  to speak with Dr. George. It was a productive evening! We have asked Dr. George for an electronic version of the handout to share with those that could not attend.

Our winter holiday break starts tomorrow and we return to school on January 5th.  Don’t forget to log those reading minutes and maybe work on a submission for the Fairview Focus.

On behalf of the PTO Executive Board,  we wish you a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Have a question?

We are here to help!  You can post a question to this website or email us at ptowizard@gmail.com. If we don’t have the answer we can help you find someone that does.

Reading logs

As we get ready to start our holiday break remember to log those reading minutes! Our Whoooo’s Reading at Fairview committee does a wonderful job finding unique ways to inspire the love of reading in our children.  Isn’t this bulletin board great?

Letter from Superintendent and Meet and Greet details

Below is a copy of the letter from our Superintendent regarding the resignation of Mr. Farrell. There is a “Meet and Greet” planned for 12/22 at 7 pm with the interim principal. We have asked Dr. George to speak with our community at that meeting and he is happy to do so. Please note that for legal reasons the background for Mr. Farrell’s resignation can not be disclosed but Dr. George has assured us that the decision had nothing at all to do with students, student safety or the education of the students. Please join us in meeting our new interim principal, Mr. Famulary. and we are very thankful that Dr. George will be in attendance as well.

They are also collecting Hats and Mittens for Middletown Helps Its Own until 12/17.

The School Spirit Committee which is made up of teachers and fifth grade students is collecting items for the Adopt A Family Program.  Each grade level has a designated family with specific items being requested.  The lists and sign up are on the FV School main page.  Any questions about these items can be forwarded to Mrs. Kameno.  All unwrapped items are due by 12/15.

Mrs. McGuire’s Celebration

Please join us tomorrow at 6:30 in the Owl’s Nest to celebrate Mrs. McGuire’s retirement after 32 years of teaching in Middletown! Refreshments will be served and PTO meeting will immediately follow.

Thank you!

A special thank you  to the Holiday Shoppe Committee and all the happy helper elves for transforming the Owl’s Nest into the North Pole. Here are some of our savvy shoppers smiling for the camera with their purchases ready to be wrapped by our wonderful volunteers!
